Privacy Policy
This page explains how personal information is handled across TetBee’s website, applications, and workplace operations, operated by AshStart Inc. Last updated: July 9, 2026.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how TetBee — operated by AshStart Inc., a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada — collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information through our website, applications, and workplace management platform.
TetBee is operated from Toronto, Ontario and currently serves businesses in Canada. This policy applies to information we collect directly from people using TetBee and, where relevant, information managed by restaurant or workplace organizations using TetBee for scheduling, communication, and team operations.
2. Scope and Roles
TetBee serves both direct users and workplace organizations. In many cases, a workplace administrator or manager creates, uploads, or manages information about staff members inside the platform.
When a workplace uses TetBee to manage employee schedules, availability, requests, contact details, or communications, that workplace remains responsible for its own employment, notice, and consent obligations. TetBee acts as the platform provider and processes that information to deliver the service.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how TetBee is used, we may collect account information, profile information, workplace and business details, scheduling data, availability and time-off data, shift-trade requests, chat and posting content, support communications, and information submitted through partnership or business inquiries.
We may also collect technical and usage information such as device type, browser information, log data, activity history, and basic analytics or security-related signals.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide and secure the platform, authenticate users, manage schedules and workplace operations, support team communication, process requests, respond to support needs, improve product reliability, and evaluate partnership or business inquiries.
If permitted by law, we may also use contact information to send product updates, service messages, and operational communications. We do not sell personal information.
5. Workplace Visibility
Information inside a workplace may be visible to authorized managers, owners, administrators, or staff based on role and permission settings.
For example, schedule assignments, availability submissions, time-off requests, and certain workplace profile details may be visible to the people responsible for operating that workplace.
6. Third-Party Services and Infrastructure
TetBee may rely on third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting, database, authentication, analytics, storage, error monitoring, and communication tools.
These providers may include services such as Google, Firebase, Apple sign-in, cloud hosting providers, and other vendors reasonably necessary to provide the platform.
7. International Processing
TetBee runs on cloud infrastructure operated by third-party providers such as Google. As a result, information may be processed or stored outside Canada, including in the United States, or in other jurisdictions reasonably required to operate the service.
Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. TetBee takes reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border processing.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain secure backups and system integrity.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the organization’s instructions, legal requirements, and operational necessity.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent in some situations.
If your information is managed through a workplace organization, your organization may be the primary point of contact for certain privacy requests. TetBee may direct you to that organization where appropriate.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
TetBee may use technical, functional, analytics, and security-related cookies or similar technologies to keep the service working properly, understand usage patterns, and protect the platform.
You may be able to control some cookie settings through your browser, but disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
11. Security
TetBee uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to apply safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information we process.
12. Contact
AshStart Inc. has designated a privacy contact accountable for the handling of personal information. For privacy-related questions, access, correction, or deletion requests, contact: AshStart Inc., #201 – 20 Bruyeres Mews, Toronto, Ontario M5V 0G8, Canada · daegil@ashstart.com.
This policy may be updated as product features, legal requirements, and operational practices evolve. Where changes are material, TetBee will provide reasonable notice through the Platform or by email.
