TetBee

Roles explained — Owner, Admin and Staff

ManagerUpdated July 29, 2026

Who can do what in a TetBee workplace, and which role to give someone.

TetBee has three roles. The one you give someone decides what they can change.

Owner

The person who created the workplace. Full access to everything, including workplace identity, positions and billing.

Admin

Managers and supervisors. Admins build and publish schedules, approve requests, confirm shift sign-outs and manage staff. Give this to anyone who runs the floor or the schedule.

Staff

Everyone else. Staff see their own schedule, submit availability, request time off, offer and take shifts, and sign out of their shifts. They can’t edit the schedule or approve requests.

Choosing

If someone needs to approve a time-off request or publish a week, they need Admin. If they only need to know when they work, Staff is right.

Somewhere in between — say a shift lead who should post announcements but not run the whole workplace? Keep them as Staff and switch on just what they need with position permissions.

You can change someone’s role later from the team area — see Add your staff.
